Advertising Account Executive

Advertising account executives act as a link between clients and the agency. You report to agency President and are responsible for the day-to-day running of our clients’ campaigns. You work with the client and agency staff in order to coordinate the details of advertising campaigns. Advertising account executives work closely with their clients throughout campaigns. you are in charge of managing administrative and organizational work, and ensuring that this is completed on-strategy, on-time, and on-budget. Typical work activities revolve around the running of advertising campaigns. Some of the tasks involved include:

  • Discussing the products, services and advertising requirements of each particular client
  • Setting up meetings with clients and other agency staff
  • Delegating work to other members of the agency team
  • Acting as the link between the client and advertising agency by maintaining regular contact with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively
  • Overseeing the status of advertising campaigns
  • Presenting creative work to clients for approval or modification
  • Meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks
  • Handling budgets and managing campaign costs
  • Taking detailed notes, writing reports, keeping records and financial details
  • Undertaking administrative tasks
  • Monitoring the profitability of accounts
  • Becoming familiar with the nature of clients’ products, business culture, and competition and understanding the possibility of changes to these
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Arranging and attending meetings and reporting on key decisions

You are primarily an advertising account executive, but know about (or can easily pick up) copywriting, design, social media, website updates, SEO, SEM, AdWords, pop culture, music, TV and maybe even marketing. OK, the last one is kind of a requirement! You are extremely curious, live for delivering the most amazing customer service, both for our internal and external customers, providing sound, strategic advice, and producing great, flawless work.
