Dating in High School & Marketing
When I was growing up there was one girl who I always liked. Sad part was she never liked me (Well, I was sad at least). Once I grew out of this stage and realized that she did not like me…15 years later, I was much happier. I met new girls, had more fun and started dating girls that actually liked me; I guess that’s how it works.
Now I have a girlfriend of 4 1/2 years that actually likes me. If you are trying to sell a product (like awkward looks and a bus ride home — that was me in high school) find who likes you. You could try and try and try to sell your award winning wheat bread to people but if they only eat white bread you are setting yourself up for failure. For your business, this comes down to finding your target market and delivering. Most of the time you don’t get to pick your target market, they pick you. The beauty of it is that you can pick your market — what you sell, offer, and deliver to the customer (But to my defense, I didn’t really have much of a choice whether or not to ride the bus home in high school…girls don’t like the bus by the way, they like cars.).
I tried and tried for 15 years and failed and failed for 15 years. Like who likes you and you’ll start making progress.
