Tony is a strategy-driven, brand-focused 19 year veteran of the advertising industry. Prior to founding The BLÜ Group in 2004 he served as a senior account executive for a variety of large, national brands including Hickory Farms, NEBS, and Betty Crocker. Since BLÜ’s inception, Tony has dedicated his time to helping small-mid size businesses and organizations build strong brands while volunteering for a variety of civic and professional organizations, including serving on multiple boards and chairing a variety of committees.

The BLU Group Wins Eight National Awards at the 2011 American Graphic Design Awards

The BLU Group – Advertising & Marketing (TheBLUGroup.com) announced today they have been chosen as an eight-time winner in the 2011 American Graphic Design Awards competition. The American Graphic Design Awards is Graphic Design USA’s (gdusa.com) flagship competition open to the graphic arts community. Running for nearly five decades, the competition received over 8,000 entries filling 23 categories from print and packaging to online and interactive design from advertising agencies, corporate and institutional designers, design firms and other media outlets throughout the country. A very select percentage is recognized as award winners.

The BLU Group was selected as a four-time winner in the Internet Design category from some of the best creative professionals in the country. They were awarded this title for their design and development of websites for a local bank, U-Bake (UBakeUSA.com), Point of Grace Community Church (ptofgrace.org), and their own website (TheBLUGroup.com). In addition, they were chosen as a winner in the Public Service and Pro Bono Projects for their work on Tri-Quest’s 2010 Campaign, the Announcement, Invitations, and Cards category for their work on Welshire Capital’s Workshop Invitation, the Logos, Trademarks, and Symbols category for the Point of Grace Logo, and the Newsletters and eNewsletters category for their Life Notes Newsletter Series.
