Don’t be afraid of conflict
To be afraid of conflict is to be afraid of living. In business, it means being afraid of making a sale, launching a new product, or telling your workers to stop stealing. Conflict makes things happen; conflict is things happening.
Nothing fixes a slacker in the office like a good confrontation — they either change or leave. Confrontation with your competitor can make you or break you but without it you can’t make it.
A good day at work means you looked conflict straight in the eyes and beat it…or lost, but that’s not the point. The point is to embrace it so you can live a little. Conflict is not a competition, it is simply a sign that you have a pulse. And that’s a good sign if you ask me.
